The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) National Chairman, Nana Ofori Owusu, has urged President Nana Akufo-Addo to scale back his administration while simultaneously providing institutions with the necessary resources to carry out their duties to the benefit of Ghanaians.
Speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” morning show, Nana Ofori Owusu expressed his unhappiness with the President’s handling of the economy.
According to him, one contributing element to the Akufo-Addo administration’s poor governance is the government’s inability to keep track of its spending and other important economic metrics.
The President was urged by Nana Ofori to get moving and announce steps to lighten Ghanaians’ financial burdens.
“We want a partnership with our government. It is us; it is a reflection of us as a people and we need to be successful, and in difficult times we want to come out. But we want to make sure that governments are taking stringent measures in terms of the size of government and the way that they operate . . . There is too much redundancy in the system,”
