The editor for Energy News Africa, Michael Creg Afful has agreed that the reduction in fuel prices is indeed nothing to talk about but it has shown that we have a listening government.
“The reduction is indeed insignificant however it shows that we have a listening government and that is also good to hear”, he stated.
Speaking in an interview with Abena Pokuaa Ahwenee on Dadi FM, 101.1, he commended the Minister of Energy, Mathew Opoku Prempeh, and the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) for their effort in meeting and reconsidering the fuel prices.
“The Minister of Energy did well by meeting up with NPA to reconsider the prices I must commend them for that”
According to him, the reasons why Ghanaians are agitated are because of Covid and its effect on the country’s economy.
He stated that a lot of people have lost their jobs and others have been laid back which has made living quite difficult and brought all these complaints about the price increment.
