Hon. Henry Yiadom Boakye, the incumbent MP and NDC parliamentary candidate for Akwatia Constituency, has urged his supporters to remain calm despite the delay in declaring the constituency’s election results.
The Electoral Commission (EC) is yet to announce the results due to a misunderstanding, as the issue to be escalated to the regional level.
As the NDC parliamentary candidate, Hon. Boakye’s assurance to his constituents comes after the presidential election results were announced without the parliamentary one.
He again emphasized that winning the parliamentary seat is crucial, now that the presidential election has been decided.
