Chairman of the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), Most Reverend Dr Paul Kwabena Boafo has called on all Ghanaians to remain calm and join the Council to continue to pray for peace for our country Ghana.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Most Reverend Dr Paul Kwabena Boafo, and the General Secretary, Rev Dr Cyril Fayose, urged the main opposition party to desist the street protests and explore the court process.
The statement also added that leadership of the National Democratic Congress to avoid statements that will cause disorder in the country.
The council appealed to the support groups of the New Patriotic Party to be temperate in their addresses, especially in the media.
“Security agencies to be professional in the exercise of their duties concerning election-related issues,’’ the statement advised.
The Council was engaging all stakeholders to ensure that the peace of the country will be protected.
