On Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Greater Accra regional minister, Henry Quartey delivered the 2023 Presidential Awards to Frontline and Allied Health Workers in the Greater Accra Region who fought as frontline workers during the pandemic era on behalf of the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In his address to the gathering, the minister praised the frontline health professionals for their tremendous sacrifice throughout the pandemic.
The minister also urged health workers to remain professional at all times in their commitment to God and humanity.
He made known that, the President, will honour the 19,557 health front-line employees who made sacrifices during the outbreak.
