As part of the events at the ongoing UN Climate Week, Ghana’s second Lady Samira Bawumia addressed the Great Green Wall of Africa’s(GGWoA) -LG Nova Capital Climate Investment Dialogue, along with H.E. Ramatoulaye Diallo N’Diaye, CEO of Great Green Wall Fund/African Union and Former Minister of Culture, Mali; H.E. Ameenah Gurib-Fakim, Former President of Mauritius; H.E. Josefa Leonel Correia Sacko,
African Union Commissioner for Rural Economy and Agriculture, as well as other speakers in New York, USA.
She urged venture capitalists, policymakers, governments, development partners, and international governmental organizations to recognize the immense potential for sustainable investments in Africa.
“Climate action is not a choice; it is a global problem that requires global solutions, and Africa’s challenges are intrinsically linked to the well-being of the entire planet.
The time to invest in climate solutions in Africa is now and Africa is ready” she stressed.
