There seems to be an imminent reshuffle of Minister in government in the coming days by President of Ghana Akufo Addo.
Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, a cousin of the President who has been given the accolade as de facto Prime Minister due to his closeness to the President as usual to given hints of pending decisions wrote on Facebook that “It is as if a reshuffle will suddenly end the war in Ukraine, bring down inflation and make the cedi stronger than the dollar”.
President Akufo Addo has been heavily criticized for not reshuffling his Ministers despite glaring evidence of poor performance leading to near economic crises.
The Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, for instance, is under intense pressure from the Civil Society, media, and opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, to resign for his shambolic handling of the economy that has plunged the country into serious economic difficulty which has necessitated IMF Bailout.
