Some residents in the Sepaase, a suburb of Abuakwa in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti region have reportedly turned the Sepaase R/C Basic and Junior High School into a place of sexual and drug smoking adventure.
Apart from these, the perpetrators also defecate in the school.
The Unit committee secretary, Mr. Anning Martin told Journalists that the school is not fenced neither does it have security given the miscreant’s leeway to invade the school.
“The intruders do not only smoke illegal substances but also defecate on the campus as well. The invaders had not only desecrated the place, but also rob residents in the area even in a day time”
According to him, apart from these criminal acts, the school dilapidated school does not have enough classrooms to accommodate the students. Also, inadequate furniture compelled the children to sit in multiples and dangle on the few desks available.
As school reopens next week Monday, parents are apprehensive about happenings in the school and the poor state of the school building calling on the government to intervene to avert a collapse of the structure.
