Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, has expressed regret over the manner he responded to Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah, popularly called Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale had earlier made hostile statements against Nigerian artists during his December 25th ‘Freedom Concert’ held at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to Burna Boy, it is not his nature to engage in hostilities on social media, and thus he apologizes to his fans for getting involved with Shatta Wale after the latter blatantly insulted his country.
He described the situation as “fighting with a pig,” and added that he will no longer continue on that course and appealed to his fans to forgive him for his earlier actions.
The comment from Shatta Wale has created mixed reactions among both Ghanaian and Nigerian artists and industry players with some supporting and otherwise.
