National Democratic Congress parliamentary aspirant for Sege constituency, Richard Kumadoe, has spoken extensively on social media insults and the danger of faceless political campaigners.
The Security Consultant in a Facebook post wrote:
Social media groups, especially WhatsApp groups are created and jointly joined by single individuals for the main purposes of education, information sharing, awareness creation, and for periodic political campaigning, particularly in moments of time.
It is important for individuals to stay in their lanes, and for that matter, there is absolute no reason, why you should|must tag somebody’s post and rain Insults on them, that in itself, is disrespectful.
If you have nothing creative or meaningful to say or write, you might want to shut up, and zipped up, at a time.
Once in a while, friends and buddies might want to tag a particular post and say something nice because they have been lifted, and inspired, otherwise, if you are not in that terms with the host|writer, you don’t need to do a 360 degree criss-crossing at all.
Insults, offensive language and deliberate attacks on WhatsApp group platforms is becoming a high-risk venture: an immediate repercussion may be high, with many future individual, and collective consequences also.
Those who love me, and cares about me, should never Insult anybody.
False-hold is for the weak. Careful articulation of creative ideas, and ideals, is for the smart Progressives, and we must all embrace it, adhered to it, and run away from attacks.
I am therefore pleading with individuals who have created social media platforms (WhatsApp groups, particularly at Sege Constituency) to please ensure the standard rules of decency is applied, otherwise, the Insults and abusive language, is just becoming toxic, and unbearable.
