This Election Petition judgement at Nigeria yesterday has absolutely nothing to do with who won the Nigerian Elections, but rather, an exercise of legal opinions, and technicalities.
If you have nothing to hide, and you are not doing anything funny or fishy, why play guilty, and be hidding from the cameras.
INEC AND TRASMISSION OF ELECTION RESULTS, BVAS!
One key aspect and function of democracy is electing of national officers, and how they are duly elected through mass participation, and if legal interpretations will not be forthright, and with a foresight, then that arm of governance, which is so key to the functionality of modern democracy is becoming problematic.
The judgment yesterday lacks the merit of people being held accountable for their roles and responsibilities in a particular election.
Again, accusing election observers who were just narrating what they saw, and duly observed was not appropriate, and this should not happened, and by doing so, we are promoting silence, and absence of election observers as key independent bodies may relate mayhem.
In any case, why are African Elections being decided by the Supreme Courts when they are not the ones who conducted the elections?
Africans, this nonsensical must stop.
I am saddened, and devastated. Sad.
Sad day in Africa. Abuja is a key board.
