Richard Obibini Lartey has been appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance and Administration) for the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC).
Lartey holds an MBA in Finance, a BSc in Accounting, and an HND in Accounting. He is also currently pursuing Chartered Accountant certification.
With extensive experience in finance management and accounting in the private sector, Lartey has also served as the Eastern Regional Deputy Treasurer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Lartey’s Response to His Appointment
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, Richard Lartey thanked President John Dramani Mahama, stating that it is an honor to serve in his government.
“I shall dutifully and diligently support the Chief Executive Officer in her quest to reset and reposition MASLOC onto the path of growth and sustainability, with the ultimate focus on poverty reduction, business expansion, and wealth creation,” he assured.
Established in 2006, MASLOC provides microcredit and small loans to start-ups and small businesses, offering fast, accessible, and flexible financial support.
Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) remain the backbone of Ghana’s socio-economic development, and MASLOC continues to play a key role in supporting businesses and individuals in their expansion efforts.
