Women of the New Patriotic Party have been encouraged to take advantage of programs that would help shape and form the development of the country and most importantly localise what they will learn to make the NPP truly the party of the nation.
Hon. Frederick Kofi Ameyaw, Director of External Affairs of the ruling NPP disclosed this at the Regional Women Organizers of the NPP at the Women’s Empowerment Conference Programme facilitated by the Conservative Party, UK and sponsored by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
According to him, women’s role in governance and public administration can never be over emphasised hence the need to make themselves readily available to take up positions and offer their expertise to help in the development of the country.
The conference under the leadership of the party’s National Women’s Organizer, Kate Gyamfua seeks to empower women and provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to be part of national consensus.
Hon. Frederick Kofi Ameyaw insisted the NPP has over the years been known to be the party that cherish the contributions of women into our governance system, and therefore urged women of the party to take up opportunities that are avialable to empower them.
