Mrs Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey has been named as the Eastern Regional minister, pending approval from Parliament.
President John Dramani Mahama mentioned her name among other 15 others for the other regions in a press statement.
Mrs Awatey has served as a Presiding member of the Yilo Krobo municipality and a deputy NDC women organizer of the Eastern region.
