“If President Akufo-Addo is able to complete many of the ongoing road projects across the country then he will be known as a historic leader to have invested in that sector since Ghana’s independence”.
Founder and Leader of the Liberation National Congress Stephen Atubiga disclosed this in Net 2 TV ‘The Seat’ political program.
Speaking to the host Ohene Amoako (The Flagbearer), Mr. Atubiga was overwhelmed with the many road Infrastructural projects undertaken by the Akufo-Addo led NPP government as his tour to all the 275 constituencies has exposed him to many of these projects he was previously not aware of.
He, however, chided the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) for ‘blindly’ speaking ill about the economy despite the many strives made by President Akufo-Addo.
“I am about to start my third time tour to all the 275 constituencies across the country but I must tell you that my last two tours have exposed me to a lot of ongoing roads projects. In fact, the old man (Akufo-Addo) has really done well as far as road infrastructure is concerned. He will be the first President with historic road infrastructure development should he (Akufo-Addo) be able to complete them” he stated.
Commenting on NDC’s upcoming internal Primaries, the NLC leader said emphatically that the party will loose the 2024 presidential election should former President John Mahama lead the party.
He argued that there is no way a defeated President can win elections in Ghana and therefore advised the NDC as a party to restructure it’s activities and f it want to win back political power.
“Now the NDC don’t have any person aside Mahama and that shows the party is in crisis. Everybody is expecting Mahama to lead them into the 2024 elections but my brother, there is no way a defeated President can win back power in Ghana” he added.
