Following his nomination by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and subsequent consideration by the Appointments Committee of Parliament, the House has unanimously approved Kwame Governs Agbodza’s nomination as the Minister Responsible for Roads and Highways.
In a social media post, the Adaklu MP indicated that he was fully aware of the responsibility that has been entrusted to him to lead the vision of His Excellency the President in the roads sector and will do his best to deliver as expected of him.

First, I am deeply honoured and humbled by this high honour and the confidence reposed in me by His Excellency the President, and hereby take this opportunity to express my profound appreciation to him.
Second, I extend my gratitude to members of the Appointments Committee for their constructive assessment and subsequent approval by my colleagues at plenary this evening.
I am fully aware of the responsibility that has been entrusted to me to lead the vision of His Excellency the President in the roads sector.
I pledge to work hard to justify this trust.
As I prepare to take office, I shall continue to count on your prayers and support. I commit to serving diligently and to keep my doors open for feedback.
I have no doubt that together, we shall make significant contributions to advancing the vision of His Excellency the President to reset Ghana and reset our infrastructure.
