The daughter of former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe is in an $80 million divorce battle.
Bona Mugabe filed for divorce from Simba Mutsahuni Chikore in March.
Chikore is demanding joint custody of the couple’s three children plus a share of the assets, which include at least 21 farms-some of which were acquired by the Mugabe family during the contentious takeover of white-owned farms.
Chikore also wants a share of 25 residential properties, including a mansion in Dubai, adding that the assets he has listed are a drop in the ocean, compared to the wealth Bona Mugabe owns outright.
Zimbabweans are shocked to learn of the extent of the wealth amassed by just one of Mugabe’s children.
