Julius Malema, the leader of the far-left South African opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party and five of its MPs have been suspended by parliament for a month without pay for disrupting the president during his state of the nation speech in February.
A parliamentary committee has also ordered them to apologize in person to President Cyril Ramaphosa, the speaker of parliament, and the people of South Africa for disrupting the proceedings.
