The Manager of the Business Resource Center in the Sagnarigu Municipality, Mr. Dawda Jentuma has been accused of extorting monies from the people of Tamale and party supporters in the name of providing them loans to run their businesses.
This was revealed in an exclusive interview by NPP Mion constituency Youth Organiser, Abubakari Naporo on radio Tamale’s Yelivuhi Dundongni hosted by Abdul Shakur Omaen on February 11, 2023.
Responding to comments by Dawuda Jentuma, the NPP Mion Constituency Youth Organizer accused the manager of collecting 50 cedis each, from thousands of registrants with the promise to facilitate loans for them to set up their businesses.
“I paid 50 cedis. I even did the jingle inviting people to pay and register for the loans. 1000s of people registered and it has been more the one year and nobody has received a penny.” Naporo disclosed during the interview.
This follows a similar accusation by many callers including the Tamale Central Youth NPP organizer who also texted into the show to demand a refund of his 50 cedis from the manager.
Sources say the Manager of the center, Mr. Dawda received more than 70,000 Ghana cedis from people who registered with the hope to receive loans from the Business Resource Center.
