The Member of Parliament for the Salaga-South Constituency has extended support to Miss Hadijatu Ekunatu Gyeta Basiru, one of the beneficiaries of the Yagbon Wura Bii Kunuto Jewu Soale I Scholarship Programme from the constituency.
The MP paid for her flight ticket from Ghana to China at a cost of GHC 13,000. On behalf of the MP, Mr. Hamid Kanyiti Salifu and Mr. Saaka Sulemana presented the flight ticket to Miss Hadijatu Ekunatu Gyeta Basiru. In addition, the MP provided 300 dollars to support her upkeep as she embarks on her journey to China.
During the presentation, Mr. Hamid Kanyiti urged Miss Basiru to consider herself a good ambassador for her fellow students and for the entire Salaga-South Constituency. He advised her to take her studies seriously upon her arrival in China and to return as a qualified medical doctor after completing her programme.
Miss Hadijatu Ekunatu Gyeta Basiru has gained admission to study Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in China.
On behalf of the family, Mr. Mohammed Awal Seidu expressed their sincere appreciation to the MP for his generosity and continued support in facilitating the education of their daughter. He also thanked the MP’s representatives for their assistance during the presentation.
