Head coach Samartex Nurudeen Amadu has targeted CAF Champions League group stage qualification.
The Timber giants are set for the maiden participation in the CAF elite competitions after clinching the Ghana Premier League title.
In a stellar performance, Samartex dethroned Medeama to secure a historic Premier League triumph in the recently concluded league season.
Samartex will begin their Africa journey against Cameroonian side Victoria United.
They will travel to Cameroon to face Victoria United on August 18 before the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on August 25.
Speaking ahead of the game, the former King Faisal tactician affirmed his outfit determination to reach the group stage of the competition.
“I can’t give a specific target but our main objective is to qualify to the money zone” he JoySports in an interview.
The winner of the tie will progress to the second preliminary round where they potentially face Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic for a place in the group stages.
