Former Black Stars Samuel Inkoom has developed a keen interest in football management as he edges closer to retirement.
Inkoom, a member of the Black Satellites squad that won the FIFA U20 World Cup title is currently unattached after leaving Hearts of Oak at the end of last season.
Managing life after football has always been tough for some players in Ghana, and in a bid to change the narrative, the former Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak star has decided to venture into football management.
Inkoom is expected to launch his football agency dubbed ‘S-Inkoom Football Management Agency’ on October 28, 2023 in Accra.
On Wednesday, the former FC Basel defender called on the Sports Minister, Ussif Mustapha to invite him to the launch of his agency.
Accepting the invite, the Sports Minister heaped praise on Inkoom for the huge step taken.
“Former Black Stars, Asante Kotoko, and Accra Hearts of Oak defender, Samuel Inkoom, called on me at the office yesterday to officially invite me to the S-Inkoom Football Management Agency’s official launch on the 28th of this month in Accra.
“I commended and urged him on for the good path he has chosen, which, without doubt, will bring his experience to bear, towards the development and promotion of football in our country,” the Sports Minister shared in a post on Facebook after the visit” he wrote on social media.
