The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Birim Central, Hon. Solomon Kusi Brako, has identified poor sanitation as the most pressing challenge confronting the municipality, warning that it poses serious health risks to residents.
Speaking in an interview with Kwamina Sam Biney on the Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem Morning Show on Bryt FM, Hon. Brako said the sanitation situation continues to undermine efforts aimed at improving living conditions across the municipality.
He cited indiscriminate waste disposal, inadequate refuse collection, and poor drainage systems as key factors worsening the environmental conditions in the area.
The MCE appealed to residents to adopt responsible waste management practices and support the Assembly’s efforts to address the growing sanitation challenges.
He further assured that the Birim Central Municipal Assembly is taking steps to improve sanitation infrastructure and enforce by-laws aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
Hon. Brako emphasized that resolving the sanitation problem requires a collective effort from both authorities and community members to ensure sustainable improvement.
