Rapper Michael Owusu Addo, better known by his stage name Sarkodie, has openly supported Guru in his bid to lead the University of Ghana’s Students’ Representative Council (SRC).
On Friday, May 24, during the school’s Pent Hall Week Artiste Night, Sarkodie urged the student body to cast their votes for Guru.
He said that under Guru’s direction, the school will be improved and creative people would have more chances.
“If you want me to come here again, then make Guru the President of the SRC,” he stressed.
Guru is the latest celebrity to enter the race for a post at a university.
Remarkably, Guru hopes to lead the SRC at the University of Ghana, following in Samini’s footsteps at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
