He made the pronouncement during the grand finale of Science and Maths Quiz at the SDA College of Education Assembly hall on Tuesday.
The MCE revealed the event is a celebration of knowledge, curiosity, and a bright future that lies ahead for the students who are youth.
“As we gather here, I want to highlight our President’s vision of resetting the country through a robust emphasis on STEM education—Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This initiative is not just about enhancing academic performance; it is about preparing our young minds to tackle the challenges of tomorrow and to innovate solutions that will drive our nation forward”.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Education is indeed the bedrock of nation-building.
It empowers individuals, fosters critical thinking, and cultivates the leaders of tomorrow. Therefore, I urge all students present today to take your studies seriously. Completing your class exercises and homework on time is vital. This discipline will serve you well in your academic journey and beyond. Remember, being obedient to your parents and teachers is equally important; they are your guiding lights in this quest for knowledge” Hon Adongo emphasized.
He added “I would also like to inspire our young girls to look up to remarkable women like Professor Jane Nana Opoku, Ghana’s first female Vice President. Her accomplishments remind us that with determination, anything is possible. Consider also the innovative work of Deborah Opando, who designed the Gari processing machine, and Bernice Dapaah, who builds bicycles from bamboo.
Their stories exemplify how creativity can lead to impactful change”.
“Additionally, let us not forget pioneers like Apostle Kwadjo Sarfo, who manufactures cars and other automobiles. These individuals show us that hard work and innovation can transform dreams into reality”.
