The Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta has stated the recent security threats on the country’s borders are a major concern for the government and remains focused on averting any attack.
He said that security agencies are collaborating with international bodies and working hard to resist any attack on Ghana.
‘‘Ghana Armed Forces and other security agencies are on the various borders of the country working hard to protect lives and property,’’ Mr Ofori Atta disclosed during the presentation of the 2022 mid-year budget review in Parliament on Monday.
The Finance minister added that the government aims to safeguard lives and properties and also deal with insecurity issues in the country as well.
Meanwhile, some gunmen attacked a Catholic church in southwest Nigeria on Sunday killing at least 21 worshipers, including children and local officials.
