The Member of Parliament for the Sefwi Akontombra Constituency, Alex Djornoubouah Tetteh has donated fifty (50) patient beds to the District Health Directorate as part of his efforts to address bed deficits within the various health facilities across the district.
At the official handover ceremony held in front of the District Assembly, the MP stated that health workers needed modern and reliable equipment to provide quality healthcare services to patients.
“The beds would help strengthen the various health facilities and be able to better respond to their patients” he noted.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Directorate, the District Health Director, Mr Cosmos Awortwi, commended the Member of Parliament for the timely support.
He mentioned that donations like these supported ongoing efforts by the Health directorate to encourage citizens to seek out quality health care in the various health facilities across the district.
