Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah, Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency in the Bono East region and a deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, has charged NPP members who contested and lost in the ongoing internal elections not to be disappointed.
According to him, contestants should note that “serving a party doesn’t mean you should win elections or have a position”.
Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah in an interview in Techiman noted that “what NPP needs is to break the 8 in 2024, therefore, all party faithful should put their personal interest aside and fight for the party and Mother Ghana”.
He encouraged all aggrieved aspirants to rally behind the newly elected executives and forge ahead for victory as the opposition National Democratic Congress is poised to clinch victory from the NPP.
For his part, Mr Muniru Tanko, the newly elected Chairman for Techiman South NPP said he is determined at empowering the grassroots in order to break the ‘8’.
A media practitioner, Dr Stephen Appiagyei Donkor, the newly elected Techiman North NPP Chairman also pledged to unite the party in order to recapture the Parliamentary seat which was lost to the NDC in 2020.
