Hon.Linda Akweley Obenewa Ocloo, Member of Parliament for Shai Osudoku constituency honored an invitation to a sod-cutting ceremony at Osuwem, where the community is taking proactive steps to eradicate open defecation.
The chief and residents have embarked on the construction of a much-needed toilet facility, with Hon. Linda Akweley Obenewa Ocloo pledging her support through a significant donation.
The community of Osuwem, spurred by the determination to improve sanitation standards, hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new toilet facility. Hon. Linda Akweley Obenewa Ocloo, MP for the area, attended the event, demonstrating her commitment to community development and public health initiatives. Addressing the gathering,the MP delivered a stirring speech, commending the efforts of the community in tackling the issue of open defecation.
She emphasized the importance of collective action and pledged ongoing support for the project. As a gesture of her commitment, Hon. Linda Akweley Obenewa Ocloo made a generous donation, consisting of 20 bags of cement, a trip of sand, and 2000gh in cash.
She emphasized that this contribution is only the beginning and assured the community of her continued involvement until the completion of the project.
The ceremony was attended by stakeholders, community leaders, and residents who expressed gratitude for the support received.
