The issue of food shortage in the various Senior High Schools (SHS) across the country is gradually revealing many illegal activities of some school authorities.
The latest to be in the news is that of Keta Senior High Technical School where the Headmaster has eject Head of Agriculture Department and the Housemaster, Francis Baidoo from post due to his constant absenteeism.
In a letter signed by the Headmaster of the school, Isaac Dzidzienyo on 22nd June, 2022 and copied the Volta Regional Education Director, Municipal Education Director and the Board Chairman of the school.
It allege the Mr. Francis Baidoo, who is also the Housemaster of the school has refused to handover keys of his office to management about eleven months ago.
But responding to the allegations, Mr. Francis Baidoo has debunked content in the letter by the Headmaster, claiming it was a scheme by the Headmaster and the Bursar of the School, Mr. Noble Adedia to cover up their shady deals in the school.
According to him, the letter from the Headmaster did not get approval from management and that both the Headmaster and Bursar are finding out all means to take him out of the school due to their parochial interests.
Mr. Baidoo accused the Bursar of feeding his poultry with maize and other food items meant for students, a situation he has always been against.
“There was a day EOCO was to meet the staff of the school but after the EOCO officials met with the the headmaster and the bursar, they left without meeting the staff as scheduled. The Headmaster bragged that though the Director General asked the Regional Director of education to investigate him, there’s was an assurance from her (Regional Director) that nothing would happen him rather, those behind the reportage will be made to suffer” the aggrieved Housemaster explained.
