As part of their Social responsibilities, the State Insurance Company (SIC) has has donated five desktop computers to support the Ghana National Fire Service on their 60th anniversary.
The Corporate Affairs Department of SIC led by Maame Esi Ncorfuah Essel made the donation on behalf of the Insurance Company at Akyianu Hall of the National Headquarters.
Maame Esi, congratulated the GNFS for their 60th anniversary and commended the Service for her humanitarian services to humanity.
She wished that the desktop computers would go a long way to aid the Service in educating the general public on undesired fires.
DCFO Tony Gomez, who received the computers onbehalf of the Chief Fire Officer, thanked the SIC for their kind gesture towards the Fire Service and assured that the computers shall be used for the intended purpose.
He further used the opportunity to called on Corperate Ghana to emulate such benevolent acts to the Service.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) launched its 60th anniversary celebration during International Firefighters’ Day on May 2023.
The year-long celebration is themed: “60 years of existence: The role of the Ghana National Fire Service in national development “.
