Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia has shaded the Opposition National Democratic Congress, NDC, over the sinohydro road projects.
He said the fruition of the projects has silenced the NDC having bad-mouthed the deal.
Dr Bawumia said this Monday, September 26, 2022 when he commissioned Cape Coast inner City roads.
Addressing the Chiefs and people of Cape Coast, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia announced the government’s commitment to construct all Inner City roads in all the Sixteen regions with the Sinohydro Deal to help beautify, and improve the economic standard of living of Ghanaians.
He said currently more projects are ongoing under Sinohydro Deal and the government is committed to ensuring all projects are completed on time.
Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon Akwasi Amoakoh Attah part also elaborated on some Inner City Roads that are ongoing and the scope of Ghana roads as it stands now.
Meanwhile, the Omanhene of the Oguaa Traditional Council, Osabarima Kwesi Atta(ii) commended the government for improving their roads.
He however appealed for the extension of more road projects to some communities like Nkanfua and interbeton whose roads are deplorable roads within the Cape Coast Metropolis.
