The former Member of Parliament for Ayensuano in the Eastern Region Samuel Ayeh -Paye has expressed sadness that nobody seems to recognize that Adwoa Safo is sick.
He posted on his Facebook timeline that “so sad her political career ending?
Very sad!!! She is sick nobody seems to recognize that. Hmmmmm”
A statement signed by the Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin Thursday evening July 28, 2022, said the President by article 81 (a) of the constitution revoked the appointment of Adwoa Safo, who is also a Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya.
The decision by the President comes at a time when Parliament is debating her continuous absence from Parliament for more than 15 sitting days without approval from the Speaker of Parliament.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, earlier on Thursday deferred his ruling on Adwoa Safo who has been cited for absenteeism.
Her fate in Parliament still hangs in the balance of whether her seat will be declared vacant or not.
