Nestlé South Africa is recalling some of its Kit Kat chocolate bars due to the possibility of glass fragments.
“We have received no complaints or reports of injuries to date.
We are acting with extreme caution because we discovered the presence of small pieces of glass during our quality and safety checks “In a statement, the company stated.
The following products are affected by the recall:
Best before dates: 30 September 2022 and 31 October 2022

Best before dates: 30 September 2022 and 31 October 2022.

The voluntary recall is only for products with the above-mentioned production codes.
Other sizes or Kit Kat products are unaffected.
“Consumers who purchased the above-mentioned products should not consume them, but rather return them to the place where they were purchased for a full refund.”
“If you are concerned that you or a member of your family may have consumed one of the affected products, please consult a medical professional who will be able to provide you with the best advice and guidance,” the company advised.
Nestlé South Africa stated that it is investigating what went wrong.
“We understand that people will be concerned, and we sincerely apologize to them.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by this recall.”
The company has stated that it is working with the National Department of Health on the recall.
