President H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo has stated emphatically that the New Patriotic Party still remain the best managers of the Ghanaian economy and good protectors of the public purse.
According to him, with their unbeatable record within the last four (4) years of governance, “it is worthy to note that they are still pursuing a better agenda for the people of Ghana”.
He said between 2017 and the first quarter of 2020, they have made considerable gains in the management of the national economy, where the country witnessed annual average GDP growth of 7% single-digit inflation, reduced fiscal deficit.
“My government found the resources to cushion the impact of the pandemic because we are good managers of the economy and we are good protectors of the public purse” he added.
He said the reason the Ghanaian people went to the polls on 7th December, i.e. to seek an improvement in their living standards and rapid transformation of the economy must continue in earnest.
Nana Addo made this statement when delivering his first state of the Nations Address in his second term on Tuesday, 9th March 2021.
