On Tuesday 20th June 2023, the South African Minister for Women, Youth and People with Disabilities – Hon. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma – paid a courtesy call on the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP), Hon. Lariba Zuweira Abudu at her office.
The Purpose of the meeting was to discuss and identify areas of cooperation in the field of women, youth and persons with disabilities (PwDs).
During the visit, both ministers deliberated on the Draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Bilateral Cooperation in the Fields of Empowerment of Women as well as PwDs, that is envisaged to be signed during the 2nd Session of the Binational Commission scheduled for the 3rd quarter of 2023 in South Africa.
Hon. Dr Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma was accompanied by a delegation made of the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Grace Jeanet Mason, as well as officials from the South African Ministry of Women.
The Deputy Minister, Hon. Francisca Oteng Mensah, and the Chief Director, Dr. Afisah Zakariah were also present at the meeting!
During the same day, the CEO of the Creative Arts and Culture Ms. Gyankroma Akufo-Addo also paid a courtesy call on the Minister.
Both held fruitful meeting aimed at redeveloping the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park into one of the outstanding parks in the sub-region.
