The Parliament of Ghana, under the auspices of Rt Hon Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, is pleased to announce an opportunity for young Ghanaians to participate in an international writing competition for schools, under the patronage of Queen Camilla, “The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025”
This prestigious competition, which has been running since 1883, aims to encourage young people to engage with pressing global issues, such as the environment, equality, and youth leadership.
The competition is open to schools and has reached over 200,000 young people worldwide, with the support of 5,000 volunteer judges.
To participate, write your essay on the theme “Our Commonwealth Journey” and submit your entry via email address: competitions@royalcwsociety.org before 23rd May 2025.
Winners will receive a week-long cultural and literary experience in the UK, culminating in an award ceremony at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Queen Camilla.
This is a great opportunity for young Ghanaians to showcase their writing skills, engage with global issues, and develop a more open-minded perspective of the world.
