The Rt. Hon Speaker, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has led leadership and some Members of Parliament (MPs) to participate in the 2023 National Development Conference, hosted by the Church of Pentecost at the Pentecost Convention Centre (PCC), in Gomoa Fetteh.
The two-day conference is under the theme “Moral Vision And National Development”
The Rt. Hon Speaker, in his address, bemoaned recent erosion of trust in leaders and the declining public confidence in institutions that are critical to national development. He challenged leaders to conduct themselves in a manner that is beyond reproach and uphold the highest standards of ethics and morality.
The Conference brought together key state functionaries including the Chief Justice, Gertrude Araba Esaaba Torkornoo, Former Presidents of Ghana, H. E John A. Kuffour, H. E John D. Mahama, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, the clergy, Traditional Leaders, Representatives of the National Chief Imam, Heads of Professional bodies. Security Services, MMDAs, CSOs just to mention but a few.
Some Members of Parliament present were the Majority Leader, Hon. Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Hon. Ibrahim Ahmed, Hon. Freda Prempeh, Hon. Helen Adjoa Ntoso, Dr. Emmanuel Marfo, Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Hon. Hawah Koomson, and many more.
