Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wugon Lydia Seyram Alhassan has again come under another attack from the opposition National Democratic Congress after a viral video of her sharing food to security officers in queue to go and vote popped up on social media
The lawmaker was seen with some people giving out packed food and water to some security officers, who took part in the December 2 Special voting exercise.
The video has generated a lot of debate among Ghanaians and political figures as it is against the laws governing elections in the country.
Speaking to Kwamina Sam Biney on Bryt fm Adekyee Mu Nsem on Wednesday morning, Mr. Bismark Ayittey noted that the NDC has made an appeal to the office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate the issue and apply the law as hen is expected.
He also alleged that Ghc200.00 was added to the packed food and drinks given to the security officers and called for the right thing to be done to make the elections credible.
