A man believed to be in his early 50s has been crushed to death while alighting from a Taxi cab at the main road in front of Koforidua Technical University Campus in the Eastern Regional capital.
The decapitated leg of the deceased could not be found by Police after the accident. The corpse has been deposited at the Morgue.
Information gathered indicates that the accident occurred Tuesday morning around 10:00 am when the man was alighting in front of the small gate of the University.
The private car carrying alleged fraud boys who were making merry with loud music and speeding on the road crushed the man who died instantly.
The impact also forced the car to veer off the road before finally crashed.
The accident attracted lots of people who covered the body with leaves and directed traffic to avoid vehicles running over him till the arrival of the Police from the Eastern Regional Police Headquarters.
The accident car and the suspects are in Police custody assisting in the investigations.
