The flagbearer of the biggest opposition party (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has reprimanded electorates to desist from selling their votes in the upcoming election on December 7.
The former president whilst addressing the people of Alavanyo in the Hohoe Municipality as part of his tour to the Volta region and Oti regions advised the people to spend the money given to them but should not use that as a reason to vote for them.
“When they bring the money, take it and ‘chop’ it, but when you enter the booth, remember that you are voting for the future of your children”, he counselled.
“In Hohoe Constituency, no skirt and blouse vote. I know that because elections are coming, they will come and give you money, he added.
He used the platform to talk about upcoming projects the NDC will undertake if they are voted to power in the elections. He said that the NDC would create one million jobs for the youth and also assured them that the NDC has lots of plans underway to help the people of Ghana if the mandate is given to them.
The former president also promised that the NDC government would assist the youth financially especially those interested in learning skills and training.
Mr Dramani urged eligible voters to go for the exhibition of the voter’s register to cross-check their names and ensure everything is right.
