ActionAid Ghana has organised training for 30 officials from 10 Municipal, Metropolitan and District Assemblies across the country.
The officials included Municipal Planning Officers, Municipal Budget Officers, Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, and Regional Coordinating Council among others.
The training which was conducted in Accra, through a participatory learning approach, aimed at building the capacity of policy implementers to prioritise and build synergies in the provision of gender-responsive public services.
It also served as a platform to raise awareness of the impact of domestic activities on women’s economic activities.
