The second edition of STEMNNOVATION competition was duly launched on the 3rd of July, 2023 at the Accra Technical Training Institute.
The nationwide competition aims to inspire and promote creativity and critical thinking among students while fostering a passion for STEM Education.
Building upon the success of the inaugural edition, which attracted hundreds of participating schools and showcased remarkable talent, the Ministry of Education is determined to expand and enhance the competition even further this year.
The initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to advancing STEM education in the country, ensuring that students are equipped with the skills necessary for success in the digital age.
The competition which is open to all senior high schools, senior high technical schools and TVET schools across the country features a broader range of categories, including robotics, coding, renewable energy, biotechnology, and artificial intelligence.
Education minister Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum stated ‘By encouraging students to engage with these disciplines from an early age, we are cultivating a generation of critical thinkers and problem solvers who will contribute to our country’s development”.
“Let us break boundaries created for our youth and allow them to take charge and change the fortunes of this nation and together we can achieve the transformation we desire as a nation”.
