The Founder and 2020 Presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, has still insisted that journalists are more important than Members of Parliament.
Madam Akua Donkor explained that journalists are performing significant roles in the country as compared to that Ghana’s lawmakers.
Speaking in an interview with Nhyiraba Nartey Solomon, Madam Akua Donkor asserted that journalists rather help parliamentarians carry out information to their constituents and needs to be commended as such.
The embattled politician said that without the support of the media, Members of Parliament cannot deliver their functions effectively as expected of them.
She again indicated the media is one of the most powerful bodies aside from the Executive and the Judiciary as they are responsible for broadcasting accurate news to the rest of the world.
She, however, promised to distribute cars to media personnel in her government if she wins the upcoming 2024 general elections.
