Prof. Kwame Agyenim-Boateng, an International Relations Expert and lecturer at the Faculty of Law at Kings University, has called on presidential aspirants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to refrain from attacking one another during their campaigns.
Speaking on the Bryt Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show with host Kwamina Sam Biney, Prof. Agyenim-Boateng emphasized that the NPP primaries are a platform to select the party’s candidate for the general elections—not an arena for internal conflict.
He cautioned that public insults and internal divisions could damage the party’s unity and reduce its chances of success in the upcoming national elections.
“A political party is supposed to unite people behind a common vision,” he said. “If those aspiring to lead begin tearing each other down in public, it undermines the party’s image and weakens its growth.”
Prof. Agyenim-Boateng advised all aspirants to be mindful of their language and conduct while engaging with delegates, stressing that mutual respect and a focus on policies will better serve the party and the nation.
