Some residents in the Eastern regional capital – Koforidua have lambasted the Nana Addo-led government for messing up the ‘next to perfect’ educational system the country had some years ago.
According to them, they don’t even know what is happening when it comes to their children’s education.
Speaking to Mybrytnewsroom.com, they lamented that they don’t even know the schedules in education now. Today they are vacating, four days’ time they are resuming and the next one week they are vacating again, this they described as appalling.
This worry came when they watch a video circulating on social media which shows class four pupils in the Bia West district, writing the introduced standardized exam papers in the dark.
Some students in the Bia West district had to wait in the evening for the arrival of their standardized exam papers.
The special exams for the pupils at class four was scheduled to start at 9:00 AM but due to the late arrival of the papers, the exams started after 5 pm.
Most of the schools in the district were not having electricity so teachers had to turn on the torchlights of their mobile phones for the students to assist them to write the papers.
They finished around 8;30pm before they eventually left for their various homes.
