The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa (MP) in a meeting with the President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of International Crisis Group, Dr. Comfort Ero commended her for her leadership. He noted in particular the value of her periodic “10 Challenges for the UN”, describing it as timely and practical guide that continues to shape international conversations on peace and security. He observed that the issues identified in these challenges remain highly relevant as Ghana and its partners work to revive the Accra Initiative as a credible framework for regional security cooperation.
The Honourable Minister highlighted His Excellency John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to pursue pragmatic strategies of bridge-building to enhance the peace and security situation in the sub-region.
The Honourable Minister further reflected on the broader international climate, pointing to the resurgence of isolationist policies. He underscored Ghana’s determination to navigate these shifts by strengthening dialogue, sustaining partnerships, and building new alliances, particularly in support of stability and growth across Africa.
