Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Suhum Constituency of the Eastern Region have thrown their weight behind Margaret Ansei for the National Women Organizer position.
They are of the view that Margaret who is popularly known as Magoo has paid her dues and served the political party in several portfolios and has proven she is competent enough to lead the women of the political party.
“As the long-awaited National Women Congress approaches steadfastly, the entire NDC Suhum Constituency wishes to throw our unflinching support and well wishes behind our own Hon Margaret Ansei” passionately called Magoo,” the statement said.
Adding that “Magoo as popularly known in and outside Suhum is an indigene from Suhum Constituency who paid her dues for the Party in many forms and capacities with competence and diligence. She served us well as our Municipal Chief Executive, then led us into election 2016 as our Parliamentary Candidate and has continued to be a source of leadership and wisdom for us”.
They called for support for Margaret Ansei “The Party and the entire stakeholders in the Constituency are using this medium, to call for the support of everyone, to rally behind Magoo, massively, come Saturday, for an overwhelming victory”.
Margaret Ansei is competing with incumbent Women Organizer Dr Hannah Bissiw.
