National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has warned party members to put an end to the backbiting and constant complaints.
According to him, it is imperative that they back government officials to excel in their various positions rather than complain bitterly.
He believes that supporting people who have earned positions is a good way of preparing them for the future.
To him, people who are seen complaining will clearly lose opportunities because of their impatience.
“Those of you who have not got appointments should pray that the government excels so that you can also get something from it. But if you pray that the government should be disgraced, you’ll also be disgraced.” he made this known while on his thank you tour as National Chairman.
“In government, the actions of those who do not get an earlier appointment are their testimonials. It will tell us that if there is a vacancy somewhere, they can occupy it. If you support those who have the power now and they are not there you are the ones we will be looking for.
But if you are against and fighting those who have been appointed to ensure that they do not succeed, if the person is not there, you’ll not get the opportunity because the people will not support you. So, anyone here who wanted an appointment and did not get it should support and ensure that those who were appointed will succeed,” he stated.
