A group of people allegedly attacked a private collation center owned by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Okaikwei North Constituency in Akweteyman, Accra, and the Ghana Police Service has begun a manhunt for them. During the incident, the attackers allegedly injured one individual and seriously damaged the collation materials. According to a police statement, two suspects, Ryan Gbagbathi and Huzaif, have been identified as members of the gang involved in the incident as a result of investigations conducted with the assistance of a victim.
The public was reassured by the police that they are still working to catch the offenders and make sure they were held accountable. The statement urged the people to maintain composure while police worked to capture the suspects and bring them to justice. Throughout and after the elections, the police underlined their dedication to maintaining security and peace.
